Yinzhou Maritime Silk Road Cultural Tourism Festival Opens

    The opening of Yinzhou Maritime Silk Road Cultural Tourism Festival 2019, also the premiere of the documentary Tiantong Temple, was held in Dongwu Town. In the event, Chinese Folk Literature and Art Association awarded the title “City of China’s Maritime Silk Road Culture” to Yinzhou, activities involved in Yinzhou Maritime Silk Road Cultural Tourism Festival 2019 were released and the premiere of Tiantong Temple was also held.
    Yinzhou Maritime Silk Road Cultural Tourism Festival 2019 is held amid Yinzhou’s establishment as the very first “City of China’s Maritime Silk Road Culture”, and is aimed to tap into, pass on, innovate and bring forward maritime silk road culture. Such an even will enrich and expand maritime silk road culture of Yinzhou and play an important in integrating Yinzhou into the Belt and Road Initiative and strengthening Ningbo’s image as “a gateway to the world”. What’s more, ti will also serve as a spiritual and cultural basis for new progress in the “secondary startup” and “Two Highs and Four Goods” in Yinzhou.
    The opening of Yinzhou Maritime Silk Road Cultural Tourism Festival 2019  composes of two parts, namely “Pearl Along Maritime Silk Road•Yinzhou” and “Buddha spirit•Dongwu”. Apart from the title-awarding ceremony, three routes of maritime silk road journey were announced, and 6 sites including Tiantong Temple and Temple of King Asoka, were listed as the first “Maritime Silk Road Cultural Relics”. Tiantong Temple was also included in UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List. Also, the activities of Yinzhou Maritime Silk Road Cultural Tourism Festival 2019 were released.
