A delegation from Jiaxing, led by Chenderong, the secretary of municipal Party committee of Jiaxing, arrived in Ningbo yesterday. Baoyinchaolu, secretary of municipal Party committee of Ningbo and Mao Guanglie, the mayor of Ningbo, met the delegation in Xinzhi Hotel.

Baoyinchaolu, on behalf of the municipal Party committee of Ningbo, showed great welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced the economic and social development in Ningbo. He also talked about how Ningbo government and people deal with the financial crisis and how to develop cultural undertakings. He said that Ningbo and Jiaxing had close contact. The completion of Hangzhou Bay Bridge helped establish a closer relationship between Ningbo and Jiaxing. Due to the joint efforts, Ningbo and Jiaxing had the opportunity to give full play of their own advantages and had a close cooperation in terms of port construction, tourism and cultural undertakings.

Chen Derong said that the completion of Hangzhou Bay Bridge has shown great benefit in term of economic and social development. The delegation was here to learn some experience in developing public cultural undertakings so that Jiaxing could also develop its cultural undertadings and improve its cultural strength and finally realize comprehensive development of economy, society and culture.
