According to XInhua News Agency in Beijing, the investment department of State Development and Reform Commission recently reported that 20 provinces and cities are trying to raise funds for the reconstruction of the earthquake-stressed areas in Sichuan. The provinces and cities will ensure to dispose no less than 1% of the previous year's local financial input as the fund for the reconstruction.

Statistics from the investment department of the State Development and Reform shows that by the end of August, the funds those provinces and cities had promise to raise amounted to 27.7 billion yuan, and of the amount, Zhejiang promises to dispose 6 billion yuan for Sichuan.
