The constant rainfalls recently make the flood prevention situation quite grim. Competent departments are making various precautions to pull through the rain season.

Despite the constant rainfalls, the construction of the Shuangxikou Reservoir in Yuyao keeps going well. The builders are seizing time to have the project completed by the end of the month. They are to increase the dam to a height of 42.05 meters, so that it can resist a once-in-20-years flood.
     
In Fenghua, the reservoirs have all seen the water level increased to certain degree. To cope with another round of big rainfalls, Fenghua has strengthened the monitoring of the water conditions of the reservoirs. More than 400 people were sent to patrol along the dams. 72 on-roof inspectors are watching closely the water conditions every day. 
 
A flood relief drill was put on in Ninghai the other day. The drill was set at the circumstances that with the impact of a strong typhoon, the Ninghai area was heavily flooded and thousands of people were stranded by floods. The disaster relief team, the on-water rescue team, the road restoration team worked concertedly. The drill went on smoothly as planned.
