According to related survey conducted in colleges in Guangzhou, online-game has an increasing effect on the study, life and mental health of college students. It has admitted by some domestic online game companies that college students have become the backbones of game players.
It is an undoubted fact that college students account for the largest part of on-line game players. In the modern society of multi-values, playing online-game and the number of players is not a phenomenon that should be blamed.
However, apart from on-line game, what are the other activities for college students? What we worry about is not the booming on-line game industry backed by a large number of players, but the decreasing influence of students unions and societies. Compared with on-line games, students unions and societies have become less attractive to college students.
The question is how should colleges develop campus culture to give guidance to students. If the campus activities are colorful and attractive, students will not spend most of their spare time on playing on-line games.
