2007 China International Stationery Expo to Open from March 22 to 24

    Zhang Hanchu, Executive of the Organizational Committee of 1007 China International Stationary Expo and Director of China Council for Promotion of International Trade (Ningbo Branch), declares that 2007 China International Stationery Expo, co-hosted by the China Council Promotion of International Trade and Ningbo Municipal Government and organized by Ningbo Branch of China Council Promotion of International Trade and Ninghai People’s Government, is to open in Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center from March 22 to 24. At present, the preparations are going on smoothly.
    As an important event of stationary exhibition and purchase of China, 2007 Stationary Expo will follow its tradition to be international, professional oriented in export while taking into account the domestic market. The Expo will arrange 1000 standard stalls, with a floorage of about 18,600 sq meters. The exhibits will be in four categories: office stationary, digital office products and computer peripherals, stationary manufactural equipment and gifts. About 1,500 foreign stationary purchasers 2,000 domestic purchasers and over 10,000 visitors are estimated to come to the expo. At present, all preparation work for the two events is going on smoothly.
    With the success of the expo in the past three years and the promotion done in the last year, the expo now is quite influential among the stationary producers and dealers, which attracts a large number of stationary enterprises. By the end of February, over 500 enterprises had entered their names for the expo, with an increase of % 24 over the proceeding year, and 71% of which are non-Ningbo enterprises.
    Besides cooperating with mass media, the expo has made great efforts to have direct contact with stationary dealers to invite them to the expo. So far over 1,300 foreign have confirmed to come to the expo, including larger dealers from 46 countries. Those who have showed their interest to come to the expo are from 135 countries.
    This year, the expo will use an advanced system for the registration and analysis of the data of the visiting merchants. It will offer places for the dealers to have negotiation and internet access, with such services of free tea, coffee and internet access. Following the international practice, the expo will not hold an opening ceremony; instead, it will have a reciprocal reception. Appropriate activities will be held during the expo. The layout of the expo will be simple, tasteful and comfortable.
