A temporary bridge is to be built over the intersection of Yaojiang River and Yongjiang River to meet the need of transportation since Xinjiang Bridge was closed due to its being regarded as a dangerous one. With the completion of the temporary bridge, Xinjiang Bridge will be removed from where it is.

Early in September, Xinjiang Bridge was announced as a dangerous one. The close of the bridge has greatly affected the transportation in the city. The public has since been calling for a normal transportation. The Municipal government has now decided that the problem should be solved as soon as possible and the Construction Committee is to be responsible for the repair work of the bridge.

Xinjiang Bridge was initiated in 70’s of the last century and the status quo of the bridge is worrying every one of us. After a serious survey, experts say that the best way to solve the problem is to build a temporary bridge at the moment and of course the final solution to the problem of transportation is to build a new bridge over the site within a period of two years.
