Tengtou Village is a four-star national-level tourist area, in the north suburbs of Fenghua City, with an area of 1.1 square kilometres. At present, there are 296 households, or 787 people live in the village, which has a farmland of 49.4 hectares and orchards of 12.73 hectares. The village now has four industrial areas which host 37 enterprises, of which 20 are industrial, 7 are agricultural, and 10 are tertiary. By 2002, the gross value of social products of the village had totaled 230 million yuan, the profit and tax 135 million yuan, and the value of foreign export 502 million yuan. At present the village has accumulated collective disposable funds worth 28 million yuan and its annual net income per capita is 14,300 yuan. In 2002, the village was nominated by China Science and Technology Association as the National Model Base of Rural Science Popularity. The major places of interest include: the Office Building,the Demonstrative Agricultural Area, the General Woods, the Ornamental Orange Orchard, the Plant Cultivation Center, the Breeding Base, and others.
