Obvious progress will be made in the following aspects:
The Internationalized Port
Ningbo Port will become a key international deep-water transshipment hub and a large ocean container transshipment base on the continental coast of China. Its annual handling capacity will be 200 million tons, including over 5 million standard containers.
The Compact Industry Constitution
The agriculture will be developed with a new pattern of commercialization and modernization. The industry, with the second industry as the backbone, will follow development pattern of higher added value, more high technology, export-orientation and better benefits. The tertiary industry will have been developed in such a way that it will cover a complete range of departments and functions.
The Modernized City
Ningbo will have been built into a central city south of the Yangtze River Delta area, featuring a reasonable area layout, a perfect infrastructure, efficient administration, flourishing science, education and culture, and a beautiful environment.
The export-oriented economy
Ningbo will take part in the international competition in an extensive way. In terms of technology, market, fund and operation system, Ningbo be in line with the international criterion to become an important trade port in China with a well-developed production and export-oriented marketing system.
The marketable economic operation system
An economic operation system will have been established with a cut-clear relationship between production and distribution in enterprises, market competition on the basis of equality, a mature market system, well balanced macro control and a perfect social security available. The socialist market economy system will be more mature, with flourishing social and economical development.
The coordinated economy, society and environment
Social development will focus on the overall development of human beings and the social ecological environment where people live in harmony with nature, with physical and spiritual civilization developed in unity.
